Doris Sohmen-Pao
CEO, Human Capital Leadership Institute
Doris Sohmen-Pao’s career spans across education, human capital and media. Before HCLI, Doris worked as an advisor to the Singapore Public Service Division, helping develop relationships and synergies between the public and private sector. Doris has worked in a number of educational institutions and was part of the inaugural leadership team at Yale-NUS College where she was responsible for all non-academic matters. She also helmed the MBA programmes at Singapore Management University and INSEAD and has been deeply involved with Princeton University where she has served on the Board of Trustees. Previously, Doris led recruiting and HR at Bain & Co.’s Southeast Asia practice as Director of Human Capital. Her media experience stems from her work at Time Inc. where she was based in their London and Hong Kong offices and led their international new media practice.
In addition to HCLI, Doris currently serves on the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory, Singapore National Gallery, IHRP boards and is a member of the EXCO of the Singapore chapter of the International Women’s Forum.
Low Peck Kem
Chief Human Resources Officer & Advisor (Workforce Development), Singapore Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office
President, Singapore Human Resources Institute
As the Chief HR Officer and Advisor (Workforce Development) for the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore, Peck Kem is responsible for professionalising HR in the public sector of 16 Ministries and more than 60 Statutory Boards. She is also the elected President of the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI).
Prior to her current appointment at the PSD, she was the Senior Director for HR & OD for a not for profit organisation, The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) based in Geneva, where she was responsible for HR, OD, Legal, Internal Audit and Corporate Administration for the 15 global offices at GAIN.
Peck Kem has the unique combination of experience from a quality engineer to manufacturing manager to VP Human resources in the private sector (Tandon, Western Digital, Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies & Avago Technologies), a Divisional Director of National HR Division in the Singapore Ministry of Manpower in the public sector, a Senior Director ODHR in GAIN, a not for profit organization based in Geneva to now a Chief HR Officer for the Singapore Public Service Division. This combination has widened her perspective in private, public and NGO sectors, and viewing the leadership from an Asian and European perspective.
Stephanie Nash
Global Chief People Officer, ChapmanCG and ChapmanV
Stephanie Nash is the Global Chief People Officer at ChapmanCG. She also holds the role of Global Head of Chapman Ventures, and provides guidance across a broad portfolio of business interests and innovations in human resources. This includes ChapmanV’s Global HR Exchange, which is an online community platform for HR professionals.
Prior to joining ChapmanCG, Stephanie held the role of Chief People Officer at RedMart, where she oversaw the growth of the Singapore-based technology and ecommerce platform.
She has more than two decades’ experience as a human resources leader working across the United States, Asia, Australia and South America. During this time, she served in senior HR roles for Fortune 500 companies, including Vice President of Human Resources Asia-Pacific at Allergen, Senior Director Human Resources Asia Pacific at Microsoft, and Group Manager, Human Resources, Base Metals at BHP Billiton.
Anika Grant
Global HR Director, Dyson
As Global HR Director, Markets at Dyson, Anika is responsible for a team of global HR professionals supporting Dyson’s revenue generating business. Prior to Dyson Anika was at Uber, where she had accountability for growing the global HR team while scaling HR operations during a period of hyper growth, with a distinct focus on people and culture. Previously Anika held senior roles at Accenture including APAC HR Director, where she led a team of 500 HR professionals, and was responsible for all HR service delivery across eight Asian markets.
Anika is currently a Board Advisor at Ecosystm, a digital technology research and advisory firm, and at Awantunai, an Indonesian fintech, advising on people, culture and organisational effectiveness. Recognised as an expert in Human Resources she’s been a guest lecturer on HR topics at Singapore Management University, LKC School of Business and at Sciences Po University Paris.
Anika graduated from UNSW with a BSc.(Business Information Technology). She is based in Singapore with her husband and two children, and enjoys yoga, reading and travelling with her family in her spare time.
